An Act
To amend the Private Secondary Schools Authority Act
ENACTED by the Parliament of Mauritius as follows:
Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Private Secondary Schools Authority (Amendment) Act 2000.
Interpretation
In this Act:
"Principal Act" means the Private Secondary Schools Authority Act.
Section 15 of principal Act amended
Section 15 of the principal Act is amended by adding immediately after
subsection (7), the following new subsection-
Notwithstanding any other enactment, where a secondary school fails to comply with-
this Act or any regulations made under this Act, or
the Education Act or any regulations made under that Act;
any condition imposed by the Authority,
the Authority may withhold any grant (or part thereof) payable under this Act until the Authority is satisfied that the school has complied with the relevant legislation or any condition imposed by the Authority.
